TOPIC: ACTIVATING GOD'S SHOWERS OF BLESSING

EZEKIEL 34 : 22 - 31

  Introduction

  God’s words and promises are not just mere words: God’s words are as real and potent as God Himself.  Whatever God permits to happen in the lives of His children is permitted for a reason.  There is always a divine reason for whatever situation that God’s children are passing through.

  One sure thing about God and His operations in our lives is that He is always faithful. He is dependably reliable! Times without number, God’s people go astray out of their own stubbornness and disobedience or out of God’s sheer permission, however through it all, He has been found faithful in bringing them out of difficulties and setting their feet again on the right path and right on the mountain top!

  Psalms 91:3 declares, “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.”

  In Psalms 27:5, we read, “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.”

  Wow! What a faithful and a mighty God He is! He cares so much for you and I that inspite of our mischievousness, He still reaches out to us, recues our souls from destructions and brings us completely out of captivity, and above all, he said there shall be showers of blessing upon us all:

  Hear this: “And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.”  Ezekiel 34:26

  What a privilege that is! Only God can turn around someone’s captivity and at the same time make him/her a blessing in an overflowing dimension!

  Note the word in His season! This is talking about you! Everyone has his/her due season and timing; there shall be showers of blessing in Jesus’ mighty name!

  Get inspired! Get encouraged! Get motivated, and get ready for unusual showers of blessing in all areas of your life, now and in the future! This is your season!

  THINGS TO NOTE:

1.  Through God’s covenant intervention, you are rescued from failure and destruction and assume a new status – Vs 22.

2.  God sets up a shepherd over His flock who will feed them in line with God’s plan and purpose – Vs 23

3.  Under divine direction, you enjoy God’s covenant of peace – Vs 25

4.  God will make you an all round blessing and cause His showers of blessing to come upon you in your season – Vs 26                  * Note: God knows your season.

5.  You will experience uncommon fruitfulness in all your endeavours – Vs 27

  PRAYER POINTS

1. Psalms 84:1, 2  - “How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!  My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.”

Prayer Points:

·     Lord, as I have come to your amiable tabernacle today to seek your face, my soul longs for you, and my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.  Show up in every aspect of my life today, in Jesus’ mighty name!      

2. Ezekiel 34:22 - “Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.”

Prayer Points:

·     Lord, according to your word, save me from captivity and change my status for better in Jesus’ name! (From poverty and lack to riches and abundance, weakness to strength, fear to faith, failure to success, defeat to victory, demotion to promotion, and from frustration to elevation, in Jesus’ precious name!

3. Ezekiel 34:25 – “And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.”

Prayer Points:

·     Father, from this moment, and as promised in your word, I enter into your covenant of peace and safety in the place that you have appointed for me, and wherever I go in Jesus’ mighty name! (Pray for peace and safety in your land, job, business, finance, marriage, children, and over whatever place and blessing the Lord has appointed for you)

4. 2 Chronicles 15:15 – “And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.”

Prayer Points:

·     Lord, in line with your word, I make a renewal of my covenant of service with you today with the whole of my heart. Father, give me rest round about in Jesus’ mighty name!

5. Ezra 7:9 – “For upon the first day of the first month began he to go up from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month came he to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.”

Prayer Points:

·     Lord, like Ezra, break the grip and destroy the yoke of Babylon in my life, lead me out of my present Babylon into my Jerusalem, in Jesus’ mighty name!

6. Ezekiel 34:26 – “And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.”

Prayer Points:

·     Lord, according to your word, make me and everything that is mentioned after my name a major blessing to my generation, and cause the showers of blessing to come down in my season, and let there be an uncommon showers of blessing, in Jesus’ name!

7. Ezekiel 34:27 – “And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.”

Prayer Points:

Lord, by your word, let the tree of my field yield her fruit, let the earth yield her increase, cause me to be safe in the land, totally break the bands of the yoke of captivity in my life, and deliver me from every enclosure of evil, in Jesus’ mighty name!
