      Introduction

      Man’s life is very creative and exciting, yet full of battles. At every stage of a man’s life, all kinds of battle show up that require attention. Life is good to live, yet cannot be without battles and wars.

      No matter whom you are, no matter where you live on the surface of the earth, no matter what position you occupy, no matter the quality of life you live, or the quality of job you do, you will always be confronted by series of battles and oppositions in your lifetime.

      This world is majorly characterized by oppositions, and confrontations are constantly experienced by everyone. Being a nice person, being a quiet person or a shy person, or being a gentle person does not guarantee the victory required to live a good life.

      For you to get beyond where you are presently and become a better and a more fulfilled person, you must learn to fight the fight of life. Moving progressively from one phase of life to another requires a good fight. So also does the change of your status from smallness to greatness, mediocrity to excellence, failure to success, and from weakness to strength. Apostle Paul by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit called this life fight the “good fight of faith”:

      “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12

      The bottom line of this scripture passage is to bring us to the inevitable truth and reality of life. Simply put, you must learn to stay alive, fight to prosper, fight to maintain your victory, fight to walk in dominion in life, and fight to inherit the eternal life!

      In our opening scripture passage, we see that the existence of Israel as a sovereign nation was being threatened by the Philistine led by Goliath who was an army general, trained to fight wars from his youth. To Saul the king and Israel as a nation, it was a major catastrophe. Being confronted by Goliath was like being plagued with an inevitable and inescapable terror!  Fear grappled the whole of the army of Israel and they were dismayed at the rattling of their sworn enemy until David showed up on the battle ground and victory was eventually granted them over the Philistine. You too will have victory over your opposition today as we fight the good fight of faith through the effectual power of prayer right in this place in Jesus’ mighty name!

      THINGS TO NOTE:

1.      Understand that life generally is full of series of battles and swarms of unrepentant enemies.

2.      The enemy operate by confrontations and unceasing rattlings – 1 Peter 5:8

3.      You must learn to put your faith to work through your absolute trust in God, boldness, words of faith, and the consciousness of whom you are in Christ – 1 Samuel 17:26, 32, 34-37, 45-47, 50, 51

·        In other words, you must learn to activate and operate in your new status in Christ Jesus!

      PRAYER POINTS

1.   1 Peter 5:6, 7  - “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, by your grace, I humble myself before you today and I cast all my cares upon you because I know you care for me. Lord, help me through m,y present fears and trials, in Jesus’ mighty name!         

2.   1 Samuel 17:26 - “And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, by your prevailing word in my mouth today, I confront and disarm every Goliath standing in opposition to my destiny, in Jesus’ mighty name!         

b.      By the reason of God’s hand upon my life and destiny, I render powerless and put in total disarray, all of the enemy’s weapons formed or fashioned against me in Jesus’ mighty name!

3.   1 Samuel 17:11 – “When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.”

Prayer Points:

a.      Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I overrule every trait of fear created in me by the reason of the challenges and opposition that I am confronted with now and always.

4.   2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Prayer Points:

a.      I declare right now by the Blood of Jesus Christ, by the word of the Lord and by the Spirit of God, that God has not given me the Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind! Therefore, I drive out the spirit of fear from my heart, my heart is filled with faith and not fear, and I overrule all opposition, in Jesus’ mighty name!

5.   1 Samuel 17:39 – “And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.”

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, by your grace, I put off my life every borrowed ideology, evil counsel and advice that I have hugged to myself over time that are now working against my life and destiny, in Jesus’ mighty name!

b.      Lord, I lay aside every weight and sin, every short coming working against my progress, in Jesus’ mighty name! (Lay aside every strange behavior and ideas picked up overtime)

6.   1 Samuel 17:40 – “And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.”

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, I reconnect to the full potential and pathway of truth that I have been equipped with overtime and I begin to stir them up in my favor, in Jesus’ precious name!

7.   1 Samuel 17:50 – “So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.”

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, by your grace and mercy, I exercise my total Victory over my oppositions and prevail over them all, in Jesus’ mighty name!

TOPIC: POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST

ACTS 4 : 7 - 21

      Introduction

      There is power in the name of Jesus Christ. The heaven responds to the name of Jesus Christ, the earth responds to it, hell responds to it, all things respond to the potent power in that precious name!

      Hear this: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11

      Evidently, the greatest power key given to man by God is the name of Jesus Christ. The power was given to Jesus himself first and foremost and then to all who believe in His name! When that name was given, power was given: salvation power, forgiveness power, healing power, protection power, deliverance power and breakthrough power were all given! Invariably, life was given in that name!

      Now, check this out: “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14:13, 14

      Through faith, power is invoked in the name of Jesus! While many just casually call upon that name as mere tradition or religion, a few people who have encountered and discovered the supernatural power in that name use it beyond mere tradition. The name of Jesus is heavily loaded with all that you will ever require to live victoriously and prosperously in pursuit of purpose in life!

      Beginning from this moment henceforth, I declare the name of Jesus Christ over all issues of your life and that you may bring forth in all areas of your endeavours in Jesus’ mighty name!

      Remember, that name of Jesus Christ has been given you above every name: sickness, ailment, poverty, discouragement, weariness, lack, curse, and even death!  Jesus’ name is above them all! Starting from this day, all of such contrary names will bow down to you in the name of Jesus Christ!

      THINGS TO NOTE:

1.      The name of Jesus Christ is superior to every other name in heaven, on the earth and beneath the earth – Philippians 2:9  *All power bow to the name of Jesus Christ.

2.      Salvation is only found in the name of Jesus Christ – Acts 4:12; 10:43

3.      The name of Jesus Christ is synonymous to the miraculous – Acts 4:10, 16; 16:18

4.      You will receive whatsoever ye shall ask in the name of Jesus Christ – John 14:13, 14

PRAYER POINTS

1.     1 Timothy 2:1, 2 - “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”  

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, in all things and for all men, we give you thanks for your all round faithfulness in Jesus’ precious name! (Mention and give thanks for each and every important person that God has placed in your life, including your spouse and your children)

b.   Lord, I also thank you for your divers operations in my personal life in Jesus’ name!

                                                                                                                                                          

2.   Proverbs 15:8 - “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.”  

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, I plead the blood of Jesus Christ upon my life today, that I may be thoroughly cleansed, as I came before your throne in Jesus’ precious name!

b.           Father, as by the blood of Jesus Christ  I am made the righteousness of God, so let my supplications today ascend to you as a sweet smelling savour in Jesus’ mighty name!                                                                   

3.   Isaiah 43:26– “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.”

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, I place a demand on your word and I put you in remembrance of your promises in my life in Jesus’ name!

b.   Lord, honour your word in my life and bring all your promises to fulfillment in my life in Jesus’ mighty

      name.

4.   John 14:13, 14 – “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

Prayer Points:

a.   Father, according to your word, I make demand of my desires in the name of Jesus Christ your beloved Son, and I believe I shall receive them in Jesus’ mighty name! (Now begin to ask for your desires)

b.   Lord, let the name of Jesus Christ bring glory to you in my life, in Jesus’ mighty name!

5.   Acts 16:18– “And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.”

Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, I banish every seen and every unseen source of reproach in my life in Jesus’ mighty name!

b.   Father, I break and return back to sender every contrary force monitoring my kingdom operations with an evil intension in Jesus’ mighty name!

6.   Acts 4:10, 12, 16 – “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.”

Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, let your perfect work of salvation and notable miracles be wrought in my life and in the lives of my loved ones, in Jesus’ mighty name!

b.   Father, let all that the name of Jesus represents be found in expression in my life, in Jesus’ mighty name!

7.   Hebrews 1:6 – “And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.”

Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, let all the angels of God be put to work in my favour.

b.   Lord, I give you thanks for answered prayers in Jesus’ mighty name!

TOPIC: THE PATH OF THE JUST

PROVERBS 4 : 7 - 18

Introduction

By Kingdom design, every child of God in Christ Jesus supernatural gravitates towards Kingdom greatness and prosperity. There is always an unseen force that leads people out of their present state of limitations into a more fulfilling and glorious future. From the moment you were born, the journey of life begins in this present physical world. However, this journey does not terminate here on earth but continues into eternity. Ironically, this present earthly journey (though shorter than the eternal journey and destination) actually determines one’s state of being in eternity. For this all important reason, it becomes imperative to maximize life and be all you were created to be. This makes the prayer of Moses very important here,

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12

Time waits for no one. Every moment counts in our bid to make great impacts here on earth and also to inherit the Kingdom of God in eternity.

Now coming back to theme as stated in Proverbs 4:18, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” The moment you are born again by the Spirit in Christ Jesus, the Lord begins to direct your steps towards Kingdom greatness both in this present world as well as in eternity.

One major factor that affects how well your path radiates the glory of God and appropriate that is divinely directed is a function of the level of God’s wisdom that is operational in your life. The more of God’s wisdom you reflect in your life, the more glorious your path becomes until you discover and maximize your full potential and fulfill your purpose in life!

The question now is, how do I access more of God’s wisdom? The answer is, ASK GOD!!

Hear this, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

This is the secret! It is the reason behind every Kingdom exploit!!

You may ask, “Why is it that some people that pray (ask) for wisdom and any other thing and they do not receive answer” Thew answer I believe is already taken care of in the scripture. Listen to this, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:6-8.

My prayer for you this day is that the Lord by His wisdom will continue your path to greatness more and more until you gloriously fulfill your purpose on earth in Jesus’ name! Amen!

3 THINGS TO NOTE:

1.      The destiny of the just is expected to be gloriously progressive in life – Proverbs 4:18

2. Wisdom is a major key to a glorious destiny - Proverbs 4:7-13

3. Prayer of faith is the principal key that unlocks the door of wisdom – James 1:6-8

PRAYER POINTS

1.   Proverbs 2:6 - "For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding."

Prayer Points:

a.      Lord, I recognize and also acknowledge as the all time giver of wisdom and the sole dispenser of knowledge and understanding in all things in Jesus’ precious name!

2.   Proverbs 4:8 - "Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.” 

Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, by your word, let your wisdom be amplified and exalted in my life. Lord, promote me and that concerns me by your infinite wisdom in Jesus' mighty name! 

b.   Lord, let wisdom bring honour to my life according to your word in Jesus’ mighty name!

3.   Proverbs 4:9 - "She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee."

Prayer Points:

a.   In line with the word of the Lord, let divine wisdom pour upon my head, an ornament of grace in Jesus’ name!                                                                                                                            

b.   Lord, by your wisdom, deliver unto me a crown of glory according to your word in Jesus' mighty name!

4.   Proverbs 4:10 - "Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many."

Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, as I constantly receive your wisdom into my heart, grant me a fulfilled life now and in eternity in Jesus’ mighty name!

5.   Proverbs 4:11 - "I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths."

Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, teach me in the way of wisdom and lead me continually in right paths in Jesus' mighty name!

6.   Proverbs 4:12 - "When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble."

Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, by your wisdom and in all my ways, make my paths to be clear open and when I run that I might not stumble in Jesus' name!

b.   Lord, grant me wisdom for great inspirations in all my endeavours in Jesus’ mighty name!

7.   Proverbs 4:18 - "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day."

Prayer Points:

a.         According to your word, Lord make my path as a shining light that continue to shine more and more in the pursuit and fulfillment of my life purpose, in Jesus' mighty name!

TOPIC: ACTIVATING THE POWER OF THE CROSS

MATTHEW 27 : 27 – 50; 1 CORINTHIANS 2 : 6 – 8

Introduction

There is God’s wisdom behind the Cross. The Cross basically signifies the embodiment of the suffering that Jesus’ Christ experienced to give us salvation.  The principle of God is to take you through your present challenges to a place of total victory!  You will get there in Jesus precious name!

A believer in Christ is a covenant child of God, and should not be intimidated by any amount of trials or hardship being experienced presently or those that may lie ahead in future. Irrespective of the magnitude of trials or sufferings you may be experiencing right now, major victory lies ahead of you if you don’t give up! Understand that deep suffering only gives birth to great victory!

The darker the darkness, the sharper and the brighter the effect of light.  There was God’s wisdom in manifestation at the death of Jesus Christ. In other words, it was in the best interest of Jesus Christ as well as of you and I that He went through crucifixion. God specializes in turning your mourning into dancing, your sorrow into joy, your suffering into victory and your death into resurrection!

Beginning from this day, God’s wisdom will begin to manifest in all of your past, present and future challenges in Jesus’ mighty name!

THINGS TO NOTE:

1.      God’s wisdom is always hidden to the world-  1 Corinthians 2:6-8

2.      Your present failure or suffering is actually a pathway to your great victory-  2 Corinthians 4:17

3.      The depth of your suffering is what actually determines the height of your victory- Romans 8:18, 1 Peter 1:11

4.      Your labour of faith will eventually be adequately rewarded-Galatians 6:9,  2 Corinthians 1:1-10

PRAYER POINTS

1.      1  Corinthians 15:57 –  “But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

      Prayer Points:

a.    By the precious blood shed for me at Calvary , Lord I thank you for the victory you have given to me in Christ Jesus.

b.      Lord, I express my unreserved gratitude to you for your wisdom that lies within my present circumstance and situation in Jesus’ precious name!

2.      Ephesians 3: 16 – “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;”

      Prayer Points:

a.  Lord, according to the riches of your glory, strengthen me with might by your Spirit in the inner man in Jesus’ precious name!

3.      Colossians 1: 11 – “Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;”

      Prayer Points:

a.   Lord ,  by your word, strengthen me with all might , according to your glorious power ,unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness in Jesus’ precious name!

b.      Lord, strengthen me to endure and to overcome my present challenge in Jesus’ precious name!

4.      1 Samuel 23: 16 – “And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.”

      Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, as you strengthened David through Jonathan, so also send to me a helper who will strengthen my hands in you in Jesus’ precious name!

5.      1 Samuel 23: 17 – “And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.”

      Prayer Points:

a.    Lord, let not the hand of my Saul find me in Jesus’ precious name!

b.      Let not the hand of afflictions, failure, defeat, poverty, etc find me in Jesus’ precious name!

6.      1 Peter 5:10 – “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].”

      Prayer Points:

a.   Lord, you are the God of all grace, and as you have called me unto your eternal glory by Christ Jesus, make me perfect. Establish, strengthen and settle all that concerns me in Jesus’ precious name!

7.      Matthew 27:54 – “Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.”

      Prayer Points:

     a.      Lord, as it was with Jesus Christ, let all that witness my present trials of faith challenges also witness my total victories and supernatural elevation in Jesus’ precious name!
